The Fours

Four Of Wands Possible keywords: Celebration. Gratitude. Strong foundation.

This card celebrates the successful creation of something we’ve strived for. We imagined it, planned for it, and made it happen—boom! The Four of Wands shouts, “I did it!" as it pops the champagne cork. The four wands look sturdy, suggesting this achievement will stand the test of time. By celebrating our success, we also thank you for a job well done. It’s important to remember to celebrate our wins and then build on them.

Four of Cups Possible keywords: Apathy. Disillusionment. Dissatisfaction.

The free-flowing joy in the Three of Cups has become stagnant in the Four, like a body of water that’s not moving. We’re lost in self-absorption, blind

to the opportunities we have in our lives, and only concerned with what we feel we’re lacking. We can have all we wish for and still regard it with

apathy and disillusionment. The Four of Cups reminds you to remember what’s truly meaningful. It’s time to pay attention to what you DO have

and cherish it. If a new opportunity presents itself

Four Of Swords Possible keywords: Rest. Recharge. Reboot.

This card is the “Sacred Alone card”. It’s rest and recovery for body, mind and soul. It’s taking time out to do the things that restore you mentally,

emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Meditation, prayer, long baths, and even longer walks. Journaling and baking, singing in the car. Lying on the sofa

with no plans to do anything other than nap and rest. We’re so go go go; sometimes it’s best to let our brains reboot. This card is a timely reminder to

carve out space for relaxation.

Four of Pentacles Possible keywords: Contraction. Clinging on. Control.

The teamwork found in the Three of Pentacles seems to have been abandoned in the Four, where a figure is clinging to his pentacles and does not want to let go. I see this card in readings when I’m clinging too tightly to an outcome. I want something to go my way, and when it refuses, I sit, pout, and forget myself. The Four of Pentacles asks: Where are you trying to control the outcome? Traditionally it refers to being miserly with our money, but we can also be miserly with our time, our affection, and our energy, too. Where do you need to let go and loosen up?
