The Sevens
Seven of Wands
Possible keywords: Facing opposition. Conviction. Protection of self.
Whenever I draw the Seven of Wands, I know I need to stand up for myself and say what’s true for me.. Sometimes, we must fight for our beliefs and defend ourselves from those without our best interests. The Seven of Wands advises courage and determination. Push through the challenges, and don’t let anything hold you back (including yourself).
Seven of Cups
Possible keywords: Fantasies. Imagination. Overstimulation.
This card represents too many ideas and not enough time to explore them. It’s letting our minds be overrun with fantasies — as Cups deal with our emotions, it could point to an out-of-control imagination plaguing a relationship. How can we choose one thing when so much tempts us? These seven ask: Are you excited by all these possibilities? Or are you overwhelmed? The Seven of Cups could be an invitation to dream more prominent, but it could also be an invitation to pull back and simplify. It all depends on what you truly need right now.
Seven of Swords
Possible keywords: Cunning. Deception. Uncertainty.
This Seven gives off a sneaky vibe to me. It can indicate that something is being taken away from us, but we could be doing the taking. This card may show up when we’re hiding something from ourselves. The deception hinted at in this card means the situation might have unwanted side effects. Have we been brave and taken up the sword, or are we deluding ourselves somehow?
Seven of Pentacles
Possible keywords: Contemplation. Replenishment. Taking stock.
This is a timely pause to assess how far we’ve come, knowing there’s more to do but taking a moment to appreciate our efforts. There’s also an element of replenishment here — resting momentarily before the next phase begins. We can use this time to recommit to the project at hand and decide the next step to take. It’s also a reminder to enjoy the process rather than rush to the end.
